Make every rice type imaginable with a Zojirushi Rice Cooker

Brown Rice

This menu setting is for cooking delicious brown rice. The rice bran and the rice inside need to be cooked hard, so the preheating time is extended. The temperature is also lower so the rice can cook longer without becoming mushy.

Sushi Rice

Sushi rice is easier to work with if it is a little firmer. This menu setting is similar to regular white rice, but uses less water for a firmer finish.

Mixed

Mixed rice is rice that has been cooked with other ingredients and spices. This setting extends the preheating time to help the rice absorb more of the flavor. The cooking temperature is also lower than it is for regular white rice, to prevent the other ingredients from boiling over.

Porridge

To cook fluffy rice, use the porridge setting. The cooking temperature should be slightly lower than for regular white rice and cook it for a longer time to make it soft.

Steam

You can steam your favorite foods by setting a timer for however long you want to cook the food.

MICOM (Microcomputer) Technology

The microcomputer technology in this rice cooker makes it easier to cook rice. The microchip adjusts the cooking time and temperature according to the type of rice you are cooking. It also times the pre-soaking of the raw grains and the final “wait.”

The MICOM cooker has many functions on its menu. This makes it perfect for anyone who loves to eat rice and wants to include it in their daily diet.

How it Works

Conventional rice cookers just turn on and off when the temperature changes. MICOM cookers are smarter because they can adjust to different types of rice, like white, brown, sweet or porridge. The sensor at the bottom of the cooker starts the cooking process and keeps track of time and temperature.
